Brown-Forman's Earnings Fall 13% on Charges
Brown-Forman Corp.'s fiscal third-quarter earnings fell 13% as the company absorbed charges to write down the value of a trademark of a tequila brand, but sales climbed.
The distiller of Jack Daniel's and Southern Comfort also revised its full-year earnings forecast to a range of $2.98 to $3.08 a share from $2.95 to $3.15.
Brown-Forman said it remains concerned about consumption trends, consumers drinking less expensive brands and increased competition.
