At The Edrington Group, grousing about business isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Edrington Group produces The Famous Grouse, which it touts as Scotland's favorite whisky. Edrington's other whisky brands include Highland Park and The Macallan Single Highland Malt. It also makes and distributes Cutty Sark for Berry Bros. & Rudd. Edrington operates five malt whisky distilleries, all in the Scottish Highlands. The Maxxium joint venture distributes Edrington's wares in more than overseas. The group, which is one of Scotland's largest private companies, traces its roots to the mid-1800s, when the Robertson family founded it. The Robertson Trust still owns Edrington.
