November 23 2009 - On Tuesday, Nov 24ht, a new Costco warehouse store will open its doors in Hayward, CA, offering several services such as a 16-pump discount gas station, tire center, bakery, pharmacy, optical center, food court, bakery, meat and produce counters.
The third largest Costco in the state - located at the corner of Industrial Parkway West and Hesperian Blvd.- has 154,000-square-foot and and is expected to bring U$1 million a year in tax dollars to the city.
Costco is the main project for the area that eventually will grow to have a 24 hour fitness as well as smaller neighborhood-serving shops.
The nearest Costco outlets were 10 miles north in San Leandro and 11 miles south in Fremont and there is also a Costco Business Center on A Street - which will remain open because it offers a different selection of goods and services.
