November 17 2009 - Asiawide Refreshments Corp., the Philippines bottler of RC Cola, is investing $14.3 million to build a new plant in Mindanao.
Gerardo Garcia, executive vice president and CEO of Asiawide Refreshments Corp., the licensed bottler of RC Cola in the Philippines, said the company is investing $14.3 million to build a new plant in Mindanao. The investment aims to capture consumer loyalty in the region.
At present, most soft drinks in the Mindanao area are sold at a higher price than in Metro Manila. With the new plant Asiawide Refreshment Corp. will be able to sell RC Cola at a lower price while maintaining the same quality of taste.
The new plant is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2010. Its production capacity is expected to meet demands in the General Santos and Davao regions.
