July 1, 2009 – The Government of India is likely to allow exports of 1.3 million tons of wheat products include flour, coarse flour and other wheat products.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has approved export of 650,000 tons of wheat products and the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Government of India will soon notify it.
It is learnt that the Empowered Group of Ministries had agreed to allow exports of wheat products up to 2 million tons and the Commerce Ministry will approve export quantity of the wheat products in a phased manner.
