Aeon to bid for Carrefour's Asia assets - sources
September 1 2010 - Aeon Co Ltd (8267.T), Japan's second-largest retail group, will bid for the Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean operations of French retailer Carrefour (CARR.PA), three sources familiar with the matter said.
The purchase would almost triple its outlets in the three Southeast Asian nations. Aeon operates 27 Malaysian stores and 11 outlets in Thailand.
