Around 100 journalists from all over the world participated in the voting, which was exclusively open to journalists, to select the top innovations presented in the New Product Showcase at the International Sweets and Biscuits Fair (ISM) in Cologne. By Tuesday evening the winners had been selected:

2. Villars Maître Chocolatier SA: Reduced-sugar dark chocolate with stevia
3. Mederer Süßwarenvertriebs GmbH: Trolli Cheesecake
